Local restaurants pledge support for Haiti
Highlevel Diner servers to donate money to charities
Kim Franklin, owner of the Highlevel Diner (10912 88th Ave.), is applauding her staff for setting up a fundraiser for victims of the Haiti earthquake.
The servers from this popular Edmonton restaurant have pledged to donate half of their tips on Friday, Jan. 29 and Saturday, Jan. 30 to the Red Cross and Doctors Without Borders. Some nearby restaurants, including Da Capo, The Sugar Bowl and Remedy Cafe, are also taking part in the effort.
āIām hoping people will tip more than usual on those days,ā says Franklin.
The High Level Diner is open Fridays, 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Phone 780-433-0993.

Handing it over to Haiti
Highlevel Diner servers are donating a portion of their tip money toward Haitian relief efforts. Those dining on Jan. 29 and 30 at the restaurant at 10912 88th Ave. can feel good that the tips they leave will go to help those in need. Other businesses in the area are also taking part.
